Women, Children Rescued From Boko Haram Camps By Nigerian Troops

Soldiers of the Nigerian army have rescued women and children held captive by Boko Haram terrorists, the army has said.
The troops operating in north eastern Nigeria also cleared four terrorist camps along Banku-Kumshe and Bama axis in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The army spokesperson, Sani Usman, in a statement said the camps cleared are: Bolungu 1 and 2, Bula Doye and Cheehi Dare. He also said the troops secured a very important bridge linking the towns of Miyanti and Banki in Borno state.
Usman said: “The gallant troops also rescued dozen of kidnapped women and children held captive by Boko Haram terrorists.”
He added that the operation by ground troops with aerial bombardments by the Nigerian Air Force will continue until the desired goal of exterminating the terrorists is achieved.
Since the ultimatum given by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian military has succeeded in clearing large areas held by insurgents in the north eastern region.
These areas include Gamboru-Ngala, a busy market community re-taken by the terrorists after it was liberated by the Chadian forces in March and handed over to the Nigerian military.
The Nigerian military has also said that it is hopeful that the region will be cleared of insurgency before the presidential ultimatum.
