The Transformative Power of Social Media in Agriculture: Stories of Positive Change

Development actors are always called to document the impact of their work to justify investment. In partnership with a range of institutions CTA has been working for several years on building capacity among ACP stakeholders in making efficient and effective use of Web 2.0 and Social Media.  So far we trained more than4,000 individuals, run 176 face-to-face training events in 44countries!
In 2013 we won the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Project Prize in the e-Agriculture category.
Still, you may rightfully ask: So what?  Where are the results? Did you have any impact?
Over the years we did two impact assessment which provided encouraging findings and guided us on how best to improve our services and … last year we started working on documenting stories of positive change.
Here we are, with 18 inspiring impact stories narrated by those who triggered the change, all captured in a publication we are proud to release today: Embracing Web 2.0 and social media: A life-changing pathway for agricultural development actors.
